We have been manufacturing and installing Japanese Panel Blinds for 10 years. Having mastered the complex techniques required for some fabrics, we use almost anything from paper to woodweave, from fine silk to washable polyesters.
We’ve made tiny blinds to very large- the first photo (below) is of one at Tapton Hall in Sheffield- it’s 13 metres wide and although it isn’t electric, it glides like a dream! The second and third photos are from Warwick University. The client provided us with digital imaging for the doorway blinds which we printed onto the fabric before making the large panels and in the last photo they chose an oriental flower design from a high resolution photograph to be printed and the panels to be used as a room divider. Any digital imaging can be printed onto material, even vast blinds for large areas displaying company logos. Read more in printing onto fabric our blog post.
Blaenavon Heritage centre in Wales chose us for a huge 5-metre drop Panel Blind, and in Lloyds TSB at Solihull we installed a 10-metre room divider. We use the best system in Europe, one of the few that is completely ‘cordable’- you can have a front or rear leader, one-way or split-draw without having to have the headrail reversed!
